One of the Worst Ideas to Get your Ex Back

A good friend of mine was just dumped by his girlfriend on Canadian Thanksgiving, with the excuse that she loves him but not in love. Devestated, he really never saw this coming but anyone with a clear outside perspective could see that she indeed was on the way out. You may notice the signs:

  • Gained a sudden new interest in other events
  • Changed her daily habits, including the amount of time she spent with her bf
  • Posted new status updates on facebook that signaled a new found independence
The list can go on, but a week before he had contacted me and mentioned that they were gonna get rid of the apartment, when I asked him if they were breaking up, he said no, but the writing was on the wall.  She was done, in fact she had been for months according her to own side of events..   After a week of mourning the relationship in a fog, he had decided to do one thing.

He made a plan.

Now my friend is very unconventional, but the patterns of a relationship breakdown are the same.  He is angry, upset and heartbroken.  His plan is to write two emails, one about personal financial details and two to tell his ex about how he feels exactly about the relationship and breakup, and then leave her alone.  I will spare you the rest, but what he told me is something you should never do to anyone, even if would give you temporary joy.

No matter how angry, sad and disgusted you are regarding the love of your life breaking that wittle heart in pieces, revenge is not the way to go.  Having a plan always fails.   The way to go on is to live your life, discover new interests and most of all, show your ex that you are the person they fell in love with.   The non-plan is simply the best game play of all.
